The Happiest Refugee

Anh Do’s account of his life was entertaining, moving, humbling and funny. Anh told of his trip on a small fishing boat when he and his family fled Vietnam and the ordeals they faced during that voyage. We heard about his life growing up in Australia and being poor, his love for his family, his sudden switch from lawyer to stand-up comedian and his love for his wife and four children. This was a great insight into what makes Anh tick and it was surprising to see him struggling with his emotions as he relayed events in his life that moulded him into the very likeable character he is today. It’s quite a story and I’m now looking forward to reading his book, “The Happiest Refugee”.

Thanks for 90 very enjoyable minutes, Anh!
